Andreas Möltgen setzt seine Sicht der Dinge seit 1998 als freier Fotograf in Bilder um. Er lebt in Köln und fotografiert überall. Für Agenturen und im direkten Auftrag von Unternehmen. Für Unternehmenskommunikation und Werbung.
Nach seiner fotografischen Ausbildung sammelte er Erfahrung als Assistent in vielen Teilen der Foto-Welt. In der Automobil-Fotografie. Bei internationalen Produktionen für „GEO“ und „Stern“, sowie bei Strecken für Geschäftsberichte von Unternehmen wie der Bayer AG, der Daimler AG oder die Deutsche Börse AG.
Schwerpunkt seiner Arbeit heute sind Produktionen, die in mehr als eine Schublade passen und vielfältige fotografische Stärken fordern. Ihn reizt es immer wieder, scheinbar nüchterne Themen durch ungewöhnliche Blickwinkel zu emotionalisieren. Speziell das Spannungsverhältnis zwischen Mensch und Technik oder Mensch und Unternehmen zieht sich als roter Faden durch seine Arbeitsfelder:

Die Bildbearbeitung der Motive ist für Andreas Möltgen ein wichtiger Bestandteil seiner Arbeit. Andreas Möltgen sieht sie als „ verlängerten Arm der Fotografie“, mit er über Farben und Tönung den Bildern die nötige Atmosphäre verleihen und Akzente setzen kann.

Andreas Möltgen has been implementing his perspectives in pictures in his capacity as a freelance photographer since 1998. He lives in Cologne and finds subjects everywhere and takes photographs of them.
Following his apprenticeship towards becoming a photographer he gained invaluable experience as an assistant in several areas of the world of photography. In the photography of automobiles. At international productions for the ‘’GEO’’ and ‘’Stern’’ magazines as well as galleries for Annual Reports for corporate bodies such as Bayer PLC, Daimler PLC or the German Stock Exchange PLC.
Today Andreas Möltgen operates directly for agencies as well as for corporate bodies. He has a particular preference for productions which do not only fit into one certain category and which exact demands on his tremendous diversity as a photographer. Time and again he is attracted to emotionalizing what at first sight appear to be mundane subjects through his remarkable ability of making use of out of the ordinary visual angles and particularly to producing the interaction between people and technology or people and corporate bodies.
